Marcus Charles is an audio-visual artist from Rockland County, New York, now based in Los Angeles, building a cinematic world where hip-hop meets science fiction. Drawing from influences spanning Kanye West to Studio Ghibli, his music blends rap, R&B, neo-soul, and experimental production into something that feels like a soundtrack to a film that doesn't exist yet. His debut project "MAD AT MAN" (2020) introduced his genre-fluid approach, followed by the "HRG Trailer" EP (2022) and his full-length album "Humans, Robots & Ghosts" in 2024. The HRG universe, a retrofuturist concept world Marcus has been constructing since his early releases, earned him a feature in Hypebeast and connected him with a growing audience drawn to his world-building vision. With recent singles like "Blue Open Roads" and "Buzz," Marcus continues pushing the boundaries of his self-produced sonic landscape.
